Lori Purpura's Stroke Recovery Fund

Dear family, friends and community,

As many of you know on Monday January 16th, 2017 our beautiful mother suffered a ischemic stroke while driving to work which also caused her to get into a car accident. By the Grace of God she is doing well but only just beginning her long and arduous road to recovery.

Anyone who has had the privilege of knowing our mother knows that she is an extremely independent, fun loving woman who has had the that same huge beautiful smile and personality all of her life. She draws you in and can befriend anyone within moments of meeting her. She is also a very prideful women and would have never agreed to allowing us (her daughters) to ask for help if she truly did not need it!

She has a very long road of recovery ahead of her and the financial burden of this unexpected event has also begun. Unfortunately she will be out of commission  during her recovery and we do not know when she will be able to return to work. We will be by her side moving forward, working as a team throughout the healing/recovering process, helping to retrain, relearn, and rebuild mentally, emotionally and physically.

We discussed her financial situation and decided it was time to rally the troops and now through this gofundme account we are asking for your help!! The donations we raise will go directly to her unexpected bills, insurance deductibles and co-pays, and making the rehabilitation process easier for her so she does not have to worry about  ANYTHING! She needs us all and we need the help and support. We are passionate and determined about her recovery! Please help us with the ability to keep our focus on the task at hand, reclaiming the happy, healthy and independent Lori that we all know and love so much!

Also I just want to add that we do not know what or how much our Mom's recovery is going to be or cost. On gofundme they just tell you to pick a number so I looked at the average for Stroke victims and just picked a number. Please understand that ANY and ALL donations will be appreciated!
