Dear familia,
I made a decision this week: that I will go ahead and have surgery. I have been dealing with discomfort for more than a few years.
A year and a half ago it was made clear via ultrasound that it was in fact a 3.5 inch uterine fibroid that is causing me to be anemic (severely low iron), with symptoms that have affected my mood, physical comfort, and my ability to consistently sustain work. I quickly changed my eating habits and some lifestyle habits in order to cure myself because I don't like hospitals or want surgery as an option for improving my health. Because I owned my own business I was able to juggle my schedule to work around difficult and low energy times with some flexibility. I missed more work than I wanted to and therefore my finances really suffered.
After a year and a half of trying everything with not enough of a result, I am pretty tired of being exhausted. I am ready to explore the other option which for me is scary but necessary. I am asking for some help with this because I need it. Any support you can lend whether it is $10 or $100 is greatly appreciated. No amount is too little.
I really just want to get back to creating and living well and feeling well. Thank you in advance for your offering and generosity. It means a lot.
