Lori's Cataract Surgery!

So... here I am putting together my own GOFUNDME page as I've done several times for other people... I feel weird about doing my own but how do you ask someone else to do it... clearly, I can't so here goes...

I have recently developed cataracts that are starting to affect my driving and ability to work. In fact, I haven't been able to do Make-up for several years because of my diminishing eyesight. Even with glasses, I find it nearly impossible to do my job with confidence and the skill I once had. I can only work in specific kinds of light or I can't see. Driving at night has become risky. I have a huge problem with a halo effect so it appears that the best thing I can do is go ahead with Cataract Surgery. I have a couple of friends who have had this surgery and they describe it as "It's like someone turned the lights on!"

I have a couple of options as to what degree of surgery I can have. The top-of-the-line lens is $5,000 per eye. Thankfully medicare pays for all other expenses like the doctors, surgery center, anesthesia, and any follow-up visits I'll need. I will likely choose the lenses that are somewhere in the mid-range that will help restore my vision and will require glasses but will address my astigmatism and cataracts.

Lord knows you can't fix everything when you get older but this is one thing that CAN be fixed so I'm gonna go for it! Your help will be greatly appreciated. :)
