Hello everyone,

My name is Nic, and I am reaching out to you to support an incredible initiative: Geelong Youth Engagement (GYE). GYE is a dedicated non-profit organization that works tirelessly to uplift and empower the youth from Geelong, Bellarine, and Surf Coast communities.

Our youth face numerous challenges, including educational barriers, mental health struggles, and social disconnection. GYE is committed to addressing these issues by providing supportive and engaging programs that help young people build resilience, develop new skills, and gain confidence.

Why I Support GYE

GYE has made a significant impact in our community through various transformative programs. Though I am not a part of GYE, I deeply believe in their mission and the positive changes they bring to the lives of young individuals.

Key Programs Offered by GYE

Kokoda Youth Program: This transformative experience takes participants on a 96km trek through the Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea, preceded by 20 weeks of rigorous training. This program is designed for youth who need a boost in confidence and a sense of achievement, often those dealing with personal and educational challenges.

Spring Back Geelong: Focused on Year 10 students, this program offers a unique opportunity to step outside the classroom for two days a week over a term. Participants engage in activities such as surfing, sailing, and visits to local businesses and organizations, including Victoria Police. They also receive training and hear from experts in various fields, all aimed at building resilience and practical skills.
