In Memory of Lorne Blackwell
Donation protected
It is hard to imagine that Lorne Blackwell left this world on January 13th, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Sadly, Lorne passed away after a hard but brief fight with lung cancer. Lorne was a beacon of joy and kindness throughout his 46 years, and he had an immense impact on his friends all over the globe. Known as the “Bolivian” in San Antonio and “Gringo” growing up in Bolivia, he was really a brother to all of us.
Here are a few quotes of the many that are remembering his life:
- “He was family to many and loved by everyone who knew him.”
- “You were always bringing laughter to the room and smiles to our faces.”
- “He brought a charm to the room that no one will be able to replicate.”
In his memory, we will be holding a memorial service on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at 3pm Sunset Northwest Funeral Home in San Antonio where we invite people to share their memories. What Lorne loved most was food and being with his friends, so we would also like to plan a celebration of his life in Spring 2024. If you are able, please help cover the costs of these events and related expenses during these trying times. Any funds left after these expenses will be donated to the American Lung Association.
