My mom, Lorraine Rice, needs your help now!

Our mom, Lorraine Rice is in imminent danger of being houseless. Her home that she has lived in for the past 50 years is in foreclosure and short sale of the house is to be finalized any day now. She has been in an health care facility since April after a particularly bad fall. She is progressing well and will probably be discharged soon. However, at the present time she has no where to go. My brother Kevin and I have been managing the overwhelming task of getting her affairs in order and to get her into assisted living. We are racing the clock and have run out of time and money. We have plans all set to get her into a lovely residence nearby in Lake Ronkomkoma. However, the upfront cost of getting her in there is close to $9,000. We have drained all of our resources in the process of getting her quickly approved for disability Medicaid and other legal matters required of being accepted into the assisted living facility.

We are now reaching out to friends and family for assistance. If there is anything you can contribute to help us with this upsetting and formidable task we would be immensely grateful.
