Lorrie Kauwe's Treatment

Dear Bella Family,
As many of you know, one of our Bella family members is in need of lots of prayers and support right now. Lorrie is one of the most positive, happy, strong people we know and she needs all of us to send love her way. Here is what we know right now, but as soon as we know more we will keep everyone informed. Lorrie saw the oncologist; he suspects that the lung cancer originated from a genetic mutation. He is waiting for the genetic testing results to confirm this before a treatment plan is decided, which may take about 2 more weeks. We are hoping that the results confirm the mutation which would mean a more targeted treatment administered in pill form with fewer negative side effects than chemotherapy. It would also mean less radiation to the brain because the treatment for lung tumors caused by a mutation would also target the brain metastases. This is such good news. I really want to give praise to the entire staff at The University of Medical Center in New Orleans. The love she has for her friends, family and guests is incredible. How can one person love so many people in such a way?
Thank you for all your love and support for Lorrie Kauwe. We know she will be so appreciative.
