Los Angeles Hospitality Fire Relief Fund

What started Tuesday morning as a single fire in the Palisades has now evolved into an unimaginable nightmare.
Between the damages and devastation from Eaton Fire, Sunset Fire, Woodley, Hurst, Lidia, etc. we’re currently experiencing the worst fire in Los Angeles history — the scariest part is that we’re nowhere near the end with 30,000+ acres burned, 0% containment, and the fear of potential new fires to come.
While we deal with this horrific catastrophe, many friends and family have been displaced, already lost homes, and emergency evacuating anywhere they can.
It’s unknown how much insurance companies can help and we can only imagine how long that will take. In addition, most bars and restaurants have closed leaving many people out of work. To lose everything while simultaneously not having an income is heartbreaking.
I’m starting this GoFundMe as supplemental support for our Hospitality Family in this interim. These funds are intended for those who have lost their homes, jobs, or any major changes to their financial well-being.
Any donation helps. Thank you for your time and generosity. Stay safe.
My name is Carissa Kaufman, I am a Los Angeles native, and I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for 17+ years. I’m absolutely heartbroken with what our community is going through. My friends and family lost homes in 2018 with the Woolsey Fires - to go through something so horrific again just seven years later is truly unimaginable. I just want to do what I can for those who have lost everything as I personally know how hard it is to rebuild.
