Losing everything due to Pandemic
On January 6th 2021, at 2am my car was taken away for non payment. My Name is Jennifer Quinones and this is my story:
I have been out of work for 7 months and I exhausted every effort to get income and get assistance here in NYS. I’m losing everything I worked hard for. The pandemic has caused myself and countless other Americans to fend for ourselves. My pride and ego are fighting back the tears as I write this today! I don’t like to ask for help, yet I have no other choice! During the 7 months out of work I have accumulated over $12k in debt that could have easily been avoided had I received my unemployment benefits on time. I’m asking for your help today because I need my car. How will I be able to to search for employment and keep a stable job of I don’t have reliable transportation? My father is a Vietnam Vet and was one of the main reasons I quit my job. I could not jeopardize his health for I’m his POA for his affairs. I have paid my taxes and given back every way I can. I have reached out to my Senators And only 1 has decided to help. But that’s not enough I have 3 days to get my car back or else I lose it forever! Please help me with anything you can... I don’t know what else to do.
