Loss of a great man, Papa G
Donation protected
Today at 2:30 pm Thanksgiving Day 2019, heaven gained an angel. My dad, Gary Fields fought dementia for the last couple of years of his life. He was a postal worker for the United States Post Office for many years and a dedicated Navy man. He loved camping in the summer with his wife, Diane and loved the Chicago Bears football team. He was kind with his words and would do anything for his family. As the disease progressed my mom would help him with reading the paper, walking in the mall, relaxing in his recliner, and eventually with all personal care. Sadly, they did not have much savings or life insurance. If you knew my Dad he would be upset for doing a go fund me but sometimes we all need just a little help.
We are establishing this fund to support my mom with hospital and funeral needs. My mom and I sincerely appreciate the gifts of flowers, but suggests that in lieu of flowers, financial help above be considered.
Papa, may you be free of all your pain. Dementia is a nasty disease and it took the last 2 years of your life. Blessings for my mom who is so very strong and took every bit of her strength to take care of her husband up until his last breathe. ❤ Love you with all my heart and thank you for taking care of me Papa G. May you rest in peace Papa, see you when we get there. Love your daughter, for life.
Thank you,
Daughter of Gary and Diane Fields
