It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our beloved Dad, Carlos Munoz Galindo , who left us on February 13. 2025 at approximately 8:38pm last night. He was involved in a Motorcycle accident on Otay lakes road and La media rd we are still asking for more details about the unfortunate circumstances. His passing has brought immense sorrow to our family, and while we grieve this profound loss, we are also faced with unexpected financial burdens.

In order to give him the farewell he deserves, we need to cover the funeral costs and necessary expenses to have his body released to us by Tuesday. *UPDATE I HAVE FINALLY TRACKED THE LOCATION OF MY DAD’s where about’s we will be picking up his body on Tuesday and all funeral viewings and arrangements will be made by then the initial cost was less than we anticipated and have updated it thank you to everybody who supported us and helped us words can explain how much this means to me and my brothers. We found all his property however it won’t be released to us and can take a few months 3-6 months to be exact because my dads case is a on going investigation but we have been informed that will also be a fee that insurance may not cover as of now we don’t have the total. Will be posting update soon!

UPDATE ON CRASH: I wanted to provide an update regarding my father’s accident, as investigators have reached out to us with more information.

First, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the seven individuals who called the police and stayed at the scene. Your kindness means so much to our family. Some of you helped gather my dad’s belongings, moved his bike out of harm’s way, and ensured the area was safe. We truly appreciate you.

Initially, we were informed that my dad crashed into the back of another car. While this is partially true, the updated information reveals that the incident occurred at the end of an intersection where my dad had a green light. Another driver failed to yield while making a right turn. Unfortunately, it was dark and raining at the time, which made conditions even more dangerous.

The other driver moved their car a few feet up the street to prevent another collision. However, CVPD has stated that this action interfered with the investigation, as it altered the scene. Despite this, the investigation will continue. These processes are thorough and can take several months, as they involve accident recreations and consideration of many factors.

A news crew has also provided a photo showing that my dad collided with the side of the car after the driver failed to yield at the intersection. For those familiar with Chula Vista, you know this is a busy street with a speed limit of about 50 mph, making it a high-risk area.

NEW UPDATE: Now, thanks to your generosity, we will be able to transport my dad to his home country and give him the farewell he deserves. The cost of international transportation and funeral arrangements has been overwhelming, but your kindness has lifted some of that burden.

My father has been released from the Medical Examiner and Forensic Lab and is currently at the funeral home, where he will be prepared for his final resting place. He will be sent to Mexico, where his viewing and funeral will take place.

I will share the dates and times for the viewing and funeral as soon as they are confirmed, for those who would like to attend.
