Flood Relief Broadwater

Hi my name is Bec, I am fund-raising for my inlaws that have lost the contents of their home, multiple cars and ontop of that their business equipment in the flood that has devastated so many communities.

Luckily they made it to Evans Head without injuries and they were able to stay at a hotel where they had somewhere dry to rest their heads while the flood levels went down.

Since having access and gutting the house of all belongings, carpets and lino it has been identified that the ceilings in 2 rooms are on the ground, walls are destroyed, the bathroom wall tiles are falling off the badly bowed walls, electricity needs to be checked, chipboard floor on second level will most likely need to be replaced, all gas needs to be checked and maybe refitted as does the hotwater system. 

Just to fix the wet areas is going to be a huge financial drain let alone fixing other structural issues then basic floor coverings and finally the basic furniture, whitegoods, toiletries, food, clothes and laundry needs!

It seems like such an impossible task and meanwhile this family have nowhere to call home :(
