I Lost Everything - Tyrone Fire Recovery Fund
Donation protected
My name is Dre, and I put this together for my good friend and former college football teammate, Tyrone Duckett. He recently lost everything in a complex fire and I am hoping to help him at least recover and get back on his feet.

"2am in middle of the night I heard popping sounds, like the white poppers you give kids on the forth of July. Turns out it was bits and pieces of roofing falling to the ground.
When I realized, I was terrified and grabbed just enough to wear (Shoes-no socks, sweats, hoodie-no shirt). I went to open the front door and caught a blazing heat wave to my face like I’ve never felt before. I sprained my ankle a week before but at the time my adrenaline made me completely forget. Everything I left in my house was in the past!!! Instantly in panic, I found myself banging and yelling as hard as I could on my neighbors doors because no fire alarms sounded and I just didn’t want anyone to get hurt or worse.
The fire spread so fast I had to hop a fence which lead to the parking lot. I looked back and my neighbor came out the house and screamed “OH MY GOD, MY BABY!!! So he ran back in the house to get his son, then ran to the fence and handed the baby to me! I hugged the infant tight in my left arm and helped my neighbor, his wife and a few others over the fence! As soon as I passed the infant back to his mom I seen another neighbor trying to climb down his balcony from the second level and I told him “just jump bro, I got you!!” I got him down safely with no scratches or anything.
I often have trouble sleeping at night because I work graveyard..but hell thank God I was awake, it finally paid off. I lost Everything but I came out with my LIFE. I didn't even think twice to try and go back and grab more of my personal items, all I wanted to do was help in any way I could. Everything else can be replaced.
I thank Jesus Christ for sparing my Life. I'm also grateful for my family and friends who reached out and showed some support. I’m blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life, for real! During this rough time I know folks pockets are tight so if you can help in anyway, when I say I appreciate every dime, I genuinely mean it!" -TD
