LOST & FOUND PAWS OF THE U.P.

Hi, my name is Vicki Bastian and I am writing on behalf of Lost & Found Paws of the U.P., a Facebook page dedicated to reuniting lost or found pets in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with their owners. This page was created on Dec. 27, 2011. 25 volunteers monitor the page daily, helping to find lost pets or owners of a found pet. Our Facebook page is monitored by volunteers daily from morning to evening with two shifts. We have also purchased large live traps for the animal shelters in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan that were in need of them.

Our goal for this fundraiser is to purchase materials for Missy Traps. A Missy Trap is a solution to capture shy, timid or skittish dogs that could not be brought to safety through a conventional box trap, as every minute they are out, their lives are at risk. This type of trap is suitable for large or small dogs unlike the traditional box traps which are either small or very large, it can be designed in different shapes and sizes to suit the dog and the environment.
