Lost Income and Medical Expenses for Clara Tsosie

Donation protected
On December 27th our mom, Clara, tested positive for COVID. After a few days of having chills, aches, fever and being back and forth to the hospital to check on her oxygen levels and dehydration, she was diagnosed with COVID pneumonia. The hospital put her on an antibiotic and a steroid, but she was not getting any better.

On January 3rd she was admitted into the hospital as her oxygen levels were 78. After being admitted she was placed immediately on 6 liters of oxygen as she was having difficulty breathing along with having a strong cough and later placed on 15 liters of high flow oxygen.

During her 3 weeks stay at Mercy Gilbert she was working hard on breathing treatments and exercises to work through the pneumonia and work on getting her lungs stronger as she kept having her oxygen levels plunge with any movements. During this time, she was given vitamins, steroids, shots to reduce fluid/blood clots and the anti-viral medication.

This week we finally got the news that she is stable but still not strong enough to come home as her left lung still needs some healing and her oxygen needs to remain stable when she moves around. She was transported via ambulance to a rehabilitation facility on Tuesday evening. It was my first time seeing my mom in 31 days and it had been 23 days for my sister.

At this time, we are not sure how long our mom will be in the rehabilitation facility and her being someone who works for herself in her salon, she has no income if she is unable to physically come to work, so we are asking for any donations that could assist her during this time since she is unable to work and unsure of when she will be able to return to work.

Every day we wait anxiously for her update and her morning/daily texts and phone calls as you may know, having a family member test positive for COVID has been very traumatizing for our family since we have lost several family members this past year including my mom parents within one week of each other. This has taken a toll on her physically and mentally while fighting this virus, but we all know that we must be patient so that she can get stronger and heal so that she is able to come home soon.

If you can donate and assist with any amount to help our mom with some of the lost income and medical expenses, we would greatly appreciate it but understand during these hard times if you are not able to and would ask that you please continue to keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

You can also donate via Venmo @Clara-Tsosie or Zelle using her cell phone number
