Home lost in mountain fire

Hi all. For those that don’t know me, my name is Allison. I have a son named Zakari who turned 3 the same day the mountain fire burned our home down. We didn't have insurance on our home due to it being canceled after the snowstorm Redding had about 6 months ago. My boyfriend and I tried to obtain new insurance but by the time we were looking into it again, insurance companies weren’t starting new policies during wildfire season.  I’ve been told it’s due to the massive loss our city had last summer from the Carr fire and the high dangers of fire in our city. A lot of people in our community have been asking how they can help and I’m very bad at saying we need certain things, even though we need everything. I’m not the kind of person to ask for help like this and  I feel bad doing so because I know a lot of other people are in need too. I was told by a few people I should try this and see what happens.  We lost all necessities in the fire so the money raised will be used for replacing those things and some toys my son  received at his birthday party that he was in love with, just so things feel a little more normal to him.
