Lotería Azul: Art for (Rommel's) Life

Your friend and mine, Rommel Romo, is fundraising to cover medical bills related to the return of the cancer he successfully squashed in 2022. Rommel has been living his best healthy life, working hard, making art. He finally got his Green Card a few months ago and so was able to return to Mexico with his family for the first time since 9/11. The new diagnosis shows cancer cells active in his lymph nodes and back of the stomach. Rommel and his team are doing everything they can with Western and Eastern medicine.

Nuestro amigo Rommel Romo está recaudando fondos para cubrir los gastos médicos relacionados con el regreso del cáncer, al que había vencido en 2023. Rommel ha estado disfrutando la vida al máximo, trabajando duro, y haciendo arte. Hace unos meses, finalmente obtuvo su Green Card, y pudo regresar a México con su familia por primera vez desde septiembre de 2011. El nuevo diagnóstico muestra células cancerosas activas en sus nódulos linfáticos y de nuevo en el estómago. Rommel y su equipo están haciendo todo lo posible con la medicina occidental y oriental.

To raise the funds necessary to cover immediate medical bills, medicine, and supplements, Romel needs to raise at least $5,000. He is offering some of his art pieces as prizes in a lottery. The first and second prizes are two of his recent paintings, beautiful examples of his new venture into abstract art. The third prize is from his artistic beginnings, a print made in 1990, at Michael Schnorr Studios, in the only art class Rommel ever took.

Rommel necesita por lo menos $5000 para cubrir gastos médicos, medicamentos, y suplementos. Parte de su obra estará disponible a través de una lotería. El primer y segundo premio son dos de sus obras recientes, hemosos ejemplos de sus nuevas exploraciones en el arte abstracto. El tercer premio viene de sus inicios en el arte, una impresión de 1990 de Michael Schnorr Sudios, de la única clase de arte que Rommel cursó.
