LOTTA - DETONAZIONE TOUR

Let me introduce myself, I'm Lotta.

Musician by passion, activist by mission.

I am 20 years old and I study at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory in Milan.

I sing as an outlet. I study the double bass to deepen the music and accompany the voice. I study and read about ecology and I am a volunteer in various environmental associations.

Last year, during the first year in Milan, I had a deep crisis, so much so that I thought about leaving music to study Ecology. The more I read, the more I realized that every note was taken from the time it could take to try to make my life useful for this planet. An existential crisis given by a really strong ecological anxiety. The more I read, the more I discovered. The more I discovered, the more I read. I realized that many things about our reality, about the reality of our existence on earth, were kept hidden from us or were not talked about at all.

I started with the little things:

I changed the way I shop, I take care of some plants in my home, I help in a shared garden, I collect garbage on the streets.

Then I became a vegetarian and a few months later vegan.

But the more I studied, the more I realized it wasn't enough. Everything we do, everything that makes us happy, everything that makes us live, comes from the earth. I know it's clear to everyone, but like when I thank a family member or a friend for a favor. I don't understand why we don't behave in the same way with the environment around us. It's about education, like saying a thank you after a kindness. We breathe thanks to this planet. We exist, thanks to this planet. Despite this we are destroying it. Why?

I have seen several documentaries, but one in particular inspired me with this project: OVERCOMING THE LIMITS. Scientists from all over the world no longer know how to warn us, their words are clear and yet their song seems to be addressed to a world of the deaf.

From this urgency comes #Detonazione, a show in three acts born of a profound need for change. I have chosen to use my music as a weapon of struggle and take to the streets to fight (Lotta in my language means Fight, it can't be a coincidence) and to have a future.

#Detonation wants to generate a reaction, wants to provoke, wants to unmask.

It can be done in the theaters or in the squares. Now I am on a European tour (Paris, Berlin, Prague, Vienna) until the end of August, but this project will accompany me throughout my life because music only makes sense to me if it is in the service of a cause, only if it is in service of my Fight | Lotta.

There are many people who collaborate with me and they are almost all volunteers because they believe in what I do, but of course it is important that this project is sustainable and therefore I thank you for your support in advance. But, as I say in the squares, the “hat” is to support the musician, but the real invitation is to take a stand.
