Man in critical condition after being struck by falling tree
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We're asking for your help in supporting our friends, Louise and Dan, who are going through a difficult time.
During the recent Storm Darragh, Dan was struck by a falling cedar tree in Leamington Spa and has suffered serious injuries. He remains in critical condition at hospital, where he is unconscious and on life support. It is likely he will have a very long road to recovery, if he is able to return to his previous life at all. We are all desperate for good news, but preparing for the worst.
His partner Lou and their baby daughter, Molly, were also hit by the tree but were thankfully unharmed.
We’ve set up this fundraising campaign to help Lou financially, as she continues to care for Molly whilst coming to terms with this awful incident.
Dan is a self-employed chairmaker and the main breadwinner for his family. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a huge difference. Even if you're unable to donate, your support through sharing this message with others is greatly appreciated.
Here are a few ways you can help:
Donate: Any amount will help them through this tough time.
Share: Spread the word by sharing this page with your friends, family, and social networks.
While their families have tried to reach out to everyone to let them know, obviously their first priority is for Dan's recovery. Apologies if you know Dan and this is the first you've heard of his accident.
Thank you for your generosity and support.
Friends of Dan, Lou and Molly xx
Update: Following our original message, we can confirm that Dan remains in critical care and the future for their family is still far from certain.
We thank everyone for their support so far and hope we can continue to count on peoples support as we attempt to raise as much as possible to aid Dan, Lou and Molly.
Update:
I wanted to pop a note out to say thank you to you all.
When one of the worst things imaginable happens to you the support that arises from those close to Dan and I and from all of you with your donations has just been overwhelming.
I can't thank you enough for the money that has been donated and I am so grateful to all of you. It is going to make such a difference in the coming months, I can't stress enough how having the financial pressures eased makes life feel a little easier.
Dan is the most wonderful human and last year he became the most incredible Dad to our daughter Molly. Dan's future is uncertain but he is the most positive and optimistic person who loves life and he will be doing everything he can to recover and be back home with us.
Please keep Dan in your thoughts and send him all the positive vibes you can and raise a toast for him and his recovery when you find yourself with loved ones enjoying a drink in the pub.
I am wishing you all a happy and healthy 2025 and when you can please spend it enjoying time with loved ones and pursuing the things that make you happy.
Love Lou & Molly xxx
