Lou-Anne Wade’s Medical Battles

My name is Natalie and I am raising financial support for my cousin Ruby & aunt Lou-Anne Wade. As some of you may know, unfortunately Lou-Anne has undergone significant health issues lately, including a blood infection, jaundice, and gallbladder issues. Sadly she was recently diagnosed with liver cancer and is still undergoing more testing to determine her prognosis, stage, and course of treatment. Lou was recently discharged from hospital after 3 weeks, with minimal home care as there are severe shortages right now.

Ruby has been working tirelessly as a PSW, and with no paid sick days off she has to then come home to help care for Lou, learning to do all of her home care and take her to all of her medical appointments in and out of town. We are asking for your financial support to decrease the stress and burden as they navigate this difficult time. With your support we are hoping to help Ruby pay for the cost of parking & transportation, allow her to take some time off work to care for Lou as needed, as well as getting her legal matters in line (making a will, etc).

All of you who know Lou know how caring and supportive she has always been to the people in her life, from her students and coworkers to friends and family, it’s time for us to do the same for her & her family now. Any contributions are greatly appreciated.
