Louie's Legacy (Cause for Paws NST)

We like to say that we rescued Louie from the streets in Thailand, but in all reality, she rescued us. Louie was there for us through some very difficult times, and always provided what we needed: something to laugh at, something to love on, something to mourn with. All that knew her will tell you confidently: "That was not a dog". She was tuned in to the ones she loved in a very different way. She was the best companion we could have ever asked for. 

Louie was hit by a car on Friday December 12th, and passed away on Sunday after she was unable to breath again on her own after surgery. She was about three years old. We are crushed, and struggling with feeling helpless against the hardships that have come hard and fast these past couple years. However, we know that while you can't control what happens to you, you can control how you react and what you do with it. 

Starting an organization in Nakhon Si Thammarat that helps street doghas been a dream of ours for a while, and we'd like to use all the love we have for Louie as the spark to turn that dream into reality. We'd like to be realistic and start small: we would use the funds to provide care for injured dog, as well as hold  spaying/ neutering clinics. In the future, I hope it can grow into something larger and more permanent.
