Louie's voice

My son Louie has a life limiting genetic condition called SMARD which means he cannot sit up or walk, he's attached to a ventilator 24 hours a day,  he needs around the clock care, he also has minimal movement meaning he cannot learn sign launguage,  he has a tracheostomy so he cannot talk he is almost 3 years old, hes brain is not affected and he is desperate to communicate so we are trying to fundraise to get him a piece of equipment called a Tobii eyegaze,  this is a special computer that will enable him to communicate with he's parents and new baby brother, he's family and nurses, he will be able to tell us how he is feeling, if he is happy/sad. 

What he would like to do, so he can make simple choices for example if he wants to go to the cinema or read a book, play with he's iPad.  

He will also be able to play simple games Independently. Games you and I would be able to play on an iPad in everyday life. 

We can also personalise it add photos add he's faviourte things such as toystory.

Learn symbols such as tshirt or tv and eventually learn the words so he can say things.  

He will be able to do all this with he's EYES.

This will be life changing for Louie and really improve he's quality of life and give him the opportunity to do the things that SMARD had robbed him of. 

Unfortunately our local authority will not give us any funding towards this so we need to raise the full amount which is £6600.00
