The Surgical, Trauma, and Burn floors at Brigham and Women's Hospital are working together as an entity to raise money for the Louis D. Brown Peace institute. This year is the 27th Annual Mother's Day Walk for Peace on Sunday, May 14. Our goal as a unit is to raise $1,000
As the largest fund-raising opportunity for LDBPI, we will once again be in healthy competition with Team MGH to see which hospital can raise the most for this year's walk. In the past BWH has over $50,000 in 2022; help us set a record in 2023!
The Louis D. Brown Peace Institute (LDBPI) has chosen the theme “Cultivating Cycles of Peace” for this year’s walk. To honor this theme, money raised by the two Mass General Brigham teams will support the Live in Peace program, an emergency response relief fund providing survivors of homicide with safe housing, food, and other necessities to allow them to focus on healing and well-being as they begin to move forward after devastating loss.
The goal of the LDBPI is to teach the value of peace to students and help them learn how to deal with murder, trauma, grief, and loss.
