Louise Shepherd Memorial Scholarship

It has been almost a year since Louise’s passing. Some days, it feels like yesterday and others it feels like it has been forever. It is impossible for me to describe the range of emotions of this past year. I am thankful for the time we had and have many happy memories but I would give anything for one more day together.

On Sunday, September 10th, Brandon and I completed the Great North Run in loving memory of the best wife and mom I could have ever dreamed of. I should have created this fundraiser prior to the event but I am creating it now to raise funds for the Louise Shepherd Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship will be created at Sparta High School. We moved to Sparta in 1999 and raised our boys there. Louise was also a teacher in the Sparta school district.

When Louise passed away last year, the outpouring of love and support from so many was overwhelming. Louise was a very special person but I was amazed by the number of lives she had impacted. This scholarship will establish her legacy and will continue to assist Sparta students just as she did in the classroom.
