Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge to help save Louth legion Hall.

Fundraiser number 1 - A big walk!! 26 miles up, down and around the Yorkshire 3peaks

21 of us are doing this challenge to help support the Louth legion mission that is a group of local people, passionate about preventing Louth from losing another community hall, and who want to keep the hall and expand its use for the local community.

We have been successful in our campaign to make the hall an 'asset of community value' which means we now have 6 months to raise funds in an attempt to purchase the hall when it is sold on the open market.

We are exploring funding possibilities to purchase and take the hall into community ownership, to develop a community centre and arts space for Louth and all of it's residents. As I'm sure you can appreciate we a have a big task on our hands to raise the amount we will need but we are up for the challenge and any help you can give us will be greatly appreciated.

There are costs involved in before we can successfully make a bid such as surveys, architect drawings and campaign expenses so this money will be a big help towards that. If we are successful in fund raising a large chunk of money but unsuccessful in the bid for the hall we will still be functioning as a community focused charity organising events and event spaces for the local community but currently our main focus is on getting that hall for us all!!!
