Love and Light funds for the Brown family

It is with much love and tenderness that we put forth this invitation to family, friends and community to join together in support of our beloved Gregg Brown, his wife Sarah and their children Molly and Felix.

Over the past 2 years, Gregg has journeyed with a rare and very active cancer. Ever the champion of miracles, he has navigated the long, often challenging path of treatment from surgery through radiotherapy, chemotherapy and more recently integrative therapy with incredible optimism and dedication to life.

Determined to embrace the opportunity of his illness, Gregg has given everything he has to the mission of healing. Alongside the cancer meds, organic keto diet, hypobaric oxygen therapy, nutritional IVs and supplements has been an extraordinary commitment to healing “within” and meeting each day with an abundance of gratitude and presence.

Amidst significant discomfort and numerous obstacles throughout, Gregg’s greatest superpower has been Positivity. Always the bearer of light, Gregg has taught us much over the past 2 years about love and vulnerability.

In recent weeks, we have learnt that despite his shining spirit, Gregg’s cancer has progressed and is expected to end his life in the coming months. With the support of his beautiful family, efforts are being made to prioritise his comfort and ensure that he receives the best possible care.

For those that are hearing this heartbreaking news just now, please be assured that the Brown family know that they are not alone in their grief and that Gregg is loved by so many. Please take a tender moment around this news for yourself. Hold those close to you, go to nature, light a candle, go gently, be kind, do something to take care of you. Remember you are loved.

Sarah and Gregg are so enormously grateful for all the beautiful support they have already received. It has shown Gregg how much he is truly loved. Thank you for all on Gather My Crew for meals and help with tasks.

To allow Sarah to be fully present as Gregg’s primary carer, she has recently stopped working. Gregg’s income and support from Royal Melbourne Hospital has also come to an end. Centrelink can offer some humble support, however we know that this money will not be enough to meet ongoing household and medical costs or to provide extra funds for funeral expenses and bereavement support still to come.

Despite their incredible resourcefulness, and many avenues of family, friend and community support, now is the time for us to gather around our much-loved Gregg, Sarah, Molly and Felix and offer them some financial support for the journey ahead.

Gregg’s wish for this time is for us all to engage in the beauty of life and to have the opportunity to do something amazing. Let’s all join hearts and hands and help this wish come true.
