Love and support for Graham and Christine

This is never a post you want to write. This is never news you want to hear. This is never a fork in the road you intended to travel. You are not alone in this burdensome journey, we’re beside you to help you move forward, and to find hope together along the way.
Graham, sweet, compassionate, generous Graham, has been diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer: Glioblastoma Multiforme Gr 4. If it sounds familiar, it’s the same type of cancer Gord Downie of the Tragically Hip was diagnosed with--and we are reeling from this news. Graham and his wife Christine relocated from Ontario to the Qualicum Beach/Oceanside community after falling in love with Vancouver Island during their honeymoon. This is their paradise, and as soon as they arrived they became active local citizens; always unconditionally selfless, and supportive. Over the last two years, Christine and Graham have been pouring their energy into their business, Purple Essentials is an organic and sustainable company. They are dedicated to offering alternatives to mass produced skincare products...always pure and simple, fresh and natural. Every item is lovingly created by Christine in their lab.
Now, with this news, we are all just trying to breathe and stay strong with Graham and Christine as they travel to the BC Cancer Clinic next week in Victoria and attempt to figure out what steps are next. We want to help them while they are on the road, and this GoFundMe page is to ask for support with medical and travel expenses as well as to ask for assistance with Purple Essentials. Since Graham’s diagnosis, friends of the couple have been helping with the store while they’ve been in and out of different hospitals.
Everyone who meets Graham and Christine is drawn to their beautiful energy! We believe in the spirit of hope and prayer and are rallying as a community to give back to this wonderful couple as they travel this unimaginably challenging journey in life.
“I have no words... Graham is my world and I know that I need to be strong for him. Feeling fragile right now... trying to stay positive. Purple Essentials is truly our passion and we have worked so hard to grow it to this point. It will continue… Thank you so much for all of your kindness, thoughtfulness, prayers, positive vibes, love and support - you all truly mean so much to us.” - Christine
