Love and Support for Kelsie and Susan
My name is Ally and I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of our dear friend and employee, Kyle Brady and his family.
On Sunday, August 1, 2021, Kyle and his wife Teresa's 6 year old daughter Kelsie, and Teresa's mother, Susan were in a horrific car accident involving a horse on HWY 81 in Loganville. Susan was driving in her car with Kelsie and hit the horse and it's rider. Kyle and his wife were called and alerted by police that Susan was being life flighted to the hospital and their daughter, Kelsie was being taken to Children's Hospital in Atlanta. The black horse and the rider of the horse dressed in all black, could not be seen against the darkness of night as Susan came upon them. She could not hit her brakes in time and hit the horse. The horse came through the car window and the car went an additional 120 feet and hit a tree. No answers yet on how Kelsie was able to get out of the car but, after the accident, before any first responders arrived, a passerby was driving down Hwy 81 and saw 6 year old Kelsie hobbling down the busy highway and screaming for her mommy. Kelsie did this with a broken leg and a broken ankle and a severely cut foot. The man and his wife took Kelsie out of harms way and waited with her until help arrived. They kept her calm in a very scary situation.
Kelsie's grandmother, Susan has many injuries and many broken bones. She is currently on life support and has had surgery to relieve bleeding on the brain. Because of the accident, she is missing part of her skull on the left side of her head. It is in God's hands now and with his help she will fight through this. Kelsie had a six hour surgery to repair her broken left leg, her right ankle and foot. She is one brave little girl. She will have to remain in a cast for at least 6 weeks and cannot do things for herself. She needs round the clock care and as a result her parents will be in an out of work as they care for Kelsie during her recovery. As you can imagine, the financial burden will hit this family hard. This fundraiser is to help with medical expenses for Kelsie and her grandmother. The amount of money needed still remains to be seen as this journey has just begun. What ever you are able to donate is so very much appreciated.
We are hoping that if you are not able to give by donating, perhaps you can help by praying and sharing this gofundme. Please pray for strength for and comfort and healing. Thank you so much to all who have been able to help and support the family. They appreciate it so much.
