Love and support for Kerri Anthony

Hi friends and family. This page has been set up to raise funds to help alleviate any current/upcoming financial needs that the family of Kerri Anthony will experience during her battle with cancer. Kerri has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung sarcoma and has begun aggressive, weekly treatments at Vanderbilt. Some weeks will consist of 4 consecutive days of treatments, including several blood transfusions during her course of therapy. As you are well aware, fuel prices have skyrocketed, causing travel expenses to be magnified.

 

How can you help? I'm glad you asked...

 

In Exodus 17:8-16, the Israelites are in a battle against the Amalakites. Moses told Joshua during the battle, he (Moses) was going to stand on top of a hill with the staff of God. Whenever Moses raised his hands holding the staff of God, the Israelites were clearly winning the battle. When Moses grew tired and lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. Seeing what was happening, Aaron and Hur (who were with Moses) put a rock under Moses for him to sit on, and they held up Moses’ hands throughout the battle so that “his hands were steady until the going down of the sun.” Joshua and the armies of Israel then overwhelmed the Amalekites.

 

Friends, we shouldn’t discount or underestimate the value of a supporting role. Our success is, in many ways, dependent upon the support of others. There is no doubt that intercessory prayer, encouragement, and giving financially are the most significant supports that we can offer Kerri and her family at this time.
