Love and Support for the Shultz Family
Luke Shultz, 43 years old, has defeated more in his lifetime than any of us will experience collectively. Over the past 10 years, Luke has received a kidney transplant, a lung transplant, and has been hospitalized in critical condition for extended periods of time on several occasions. Most recently, Luke was hospitalized in August, resulting in complications with his liver. However, due to his previous health history, he is not a candidate for a liver transplant. After a period of critical care, including intubation, Luke is now going through extensive rehabilitation to gain his strength. As part of the trauma to his body, his kidney is no longer functioning the way it needs too, therefore requiring regular dialysis.
As you can imagine, this has put a tremendous strain on the Shultz family, both emotionally and financially. Luke’s dialysis treatments will cost the family upwards of $900/month. Another option is for the family to obtain supplemental coverage for Luke, but will still cost them $800/month. Either way, it is not something any family should have to bare alone. Amber has never asked for any assistance financially over the past 10 years, but as her friend, it is time to pay it forward to help them in any way possible. Please consider donating any amount to help offset these costs, so Amber can turn her focus to Luke and the boys, and not worry about the financial strain. Thank you in advance. ❤️
