Love Donations for Serenity Lane

Serenity Lane was Born on March 29, 2018 at Upson Regional Medical Center. What was to be a joyful occasion quickly changed when Serenity was born with a hole in her ASD and a large hole in her VSD of her little newborn heart. She then tested positive for Trisomy 21 Down Syndrome.
ASD, Atrial Septal Defect, is a defect in the septum, which is what separates the right and left sides of the hearts upper chambers. The hole allows oxygen-rich blood to leak into the oxygen-poor blood chambers of the heart.
VSD, Ventricular Septal Defect, is a hole in the wall separating the two lower chambers of the heart. In normal development, the left side of the heart only pumps blood to the body while the right side pumps blood to the lungs. With VSD, the blood can travel across the hole from the left ventricle to the right ventricle and out into the lung arteries such as in Serenitys case it causes her respiratory functions to work overtime.
On March 31st, Serenity was transferred to Navicient Health where a team of highly skilled Doctors/Nurses have diligently worked with her to assess her respiratory and feeding issues due to her little heart. Her issues are not allowing weight gain and she is being fed with a feeding tube.
As of today, May 1st she was transported to Egleston in Atlanta for further treatment from her Cardio Team of Doctors. The goal is to try and wait till she is 6 months old to do surgery to repair her Heart.
Holly Stickler and Pam Quilty have teamed together for Love Donations for Serenity Lane and mother, Amber Owens. We are asking for donations to assist in Travel Expenses, Unavoidable absence from Ambers working, and foreseen Ongoing Care for this Special God given Angel.
