Love Fiercely, Fight Fiercely! Judy Hunt: ALS Care

Hi, my name is Jenny and I am the oldest daughter of John and Judy Hunt. As you may know, my mom, Judy, was recently diagnosed with ALS. What comes with this diagnosis is a lot of uncertainty about the future, but my mom believes in the steadfastness that God promises and would point you to the following scripture: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 

We are unsure at this point exactly how much her medical expenses will amount to, however we do know that the cost of care will be more than any one of us, as her immediate family, can afford. Some of the costs will include medication, respirator, wheelchair, feeding tube placement, and in-home care. And while, these costs can seem overwhelming, my mom would remind us: “When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Psalm 61:2

My mom is truly a Proverbs 31 woman and has instilled in each one of her children what it means to be a woman of noble character. "She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh without fear of the future.” Proverbs 31:25 


My mom has always loved her family, her  friends, and her God fiercely and now it is time for us to not only love but to fight fiercely for her!
