Love for Alia: Funding Hope, Healing Cancer
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Gianna, and together with my cousin Jessy and our friend Katrina, we are fundraising for my sister, who is in the midst of her healing journey.
MEET ALIA
Allow me to introduce Alia, a remarkable individual whose vibrant spirit and quick sense of humor make her a true treasure to all fortunate enough to know her. Throughout life, there are individuals who touch our hearts and souls in ways that are truly extraordinary. Alia, without a doubt, is one of those exceptional beings. Her selflessness and unwavering commitment to those around her have left an indelible mark on our lives. Nature serves as her sanctuary, where she revels in hiking, camping, and embracing the wonders of the great outdoors. Alia's compassionate heart extends to her role in finding forever homes for cats and kittens living on the streets of Colorado. Accompanied by her loyal toothless cat, Zephyr, and surrounded by a loving community, she now seeks additional support from those who are in a position to do so.
HER STORY
In late 2022, she began having chest pain that was restricting her breathing. She ended up spending two weeks in the hospital over Christmas while her doctors ran tests to determine the cause of the pain. After weeks of waiting, the diagnosis finally came in: she had Lymphoma.
For the entirety of 2023, Alia underwent a wide range of treatment modalities back to back, from chemotherapy and immunotherapy, to a rainbow of drugs and supplements. She saw numerous doctors and specialists spread across 7 different hospitals/clinics in 3 different states. We are still in search of the right combination of treatments that will heal Alia’s Lymphoma. The suggested next round of therapies is aggressive, complex and will certainly be challenging and require a lengthy recovery period.

THE GOOD NEWS
Alia’s attitude and resolve are stronger than ever - she’s determined to heal this Lymphoma. With the support of her loving network, we all believe she’ll accomplish that goal.
YOU HAVE - AND STILL CAN - MAKE A DIFFERENCE
We have been absolutely blessed to receive the donations we have so far. This is just a peek at what we’ve been able to accomplish through your continued generosity. Considering all of these expenses (and more) are ongoing, we appreciate your support now more than ever! Here is what you help with directly:
- Specialist Visits - Alia's lymphoma has proven resistant, necessitating more intricate and nuanced approaches. These specialist consultations are indispensable in navigating Alia's individual journey with refractory cancer
- Nutrition guidance and vitamins that help minimize the damage caused by chemotherapy and other treatments
- Regular monitoring tests like blood work and breathing assessments
- Mental Health Support
- Long-term Recovery Support
- Clinic & Hospital parking fees
- Cans of the fanciest tuna (just kidding, her cat Zephyr snuck that one in)

THANK YOU
A heartfelt thank you to all who can offer support in any capacity, whether it's through donations, words of encouragement, or simply spreading the word about Alia's story by sharing this link with a few friends. Your involvement and willingness to help amplify awareness and are deeply appreciated. Together, let us rally around Alia on her journey to recovery, helping her return to the activities she holds dear.
Please fill out this quick Google form so that we may send a token of our appreciation. Thanks again!

SEND A SMILE
We understand that not everyone is in a place to offer monetary support right now, and that's ok! At the bottom of this page, you'll find my name (Gianna) under the "Organizer" section. Feel free to click "Contact" if you'd like to: send kind or encouraging words, book suggestions, your top hiking trail recommendations, and/or your favorite inspirational quotes and I'll make sure they get to Alia.
