Love for Heather & support for the Croppers
It comes with anguish and heartbreak that we share the passing of our beloved Heather Ann Cushing Cropper, August 30, 2021.
Heather’s radiance and ageless beauty were unmatched. Her signature long dark hair, stunning cheekbones, sparkling eyes, brightest smile, clever wit, touching charm and grace will forever be imprinted on our hearts. Her ability to dance was poetic, provoking emotion and fluidity, just one of her many incredibly beautiful gifts. She played the piano with a divine touch. She was a scholar with an extraordinary understanding of math, language, science, and art. She had a love of the natural world and dreamed of a starring role as “Weather with Heather.” Her heart was full and giving. She loved with a fierce force and distinctive kindness, never to be forgotten. And can’t you just hear her laugh? Gold and contagious.
Heather was a faithful Latter-day Saint. She was tender to the Spirit and a hopeful disciple. She could be found serving others, lifting the downtrodden and bringing Christlike love and relief to those around her.
Heather was always a bold advocate for Sam, and all people with autism. Her heart made certain space for those with special needs, always noticing and reaching with her genuine love. She bravely supported her son Tyler with his Type 1 Diabetes and learned the ropes for dealing with this difficult disease. Her goal was to ease his pain and find the latest and best resources available for him.
While we will forever remember Heather for her remarkable beauty inside and out, it is important to speak of the pain that stirred within her mind. Depression is a real sickness. Depression and its chronic pain can result in unbreakable earthly grief, unshakable demons and unreachable sorrow and desolation. Depression made it difficult for Heather to ultimately see the beautiful life she and Matt had created, no matter the countless measures she took and tried.
Heather leaves behind her adoring children Sam, Tyler, Lilly and Charlie and her dear, loyal husband of nearly 21 years Matt, affectionately known as “Matty.”
We can’t know right now the scope of her influence for good in this world, but we can see it in the eyes of her husband and children, and our opportunity now is to extend that influence for good by contributing to the well-being of her family.
A fund has been created as a simple way to help alleviate the immediate financial burden of funeral and hospital expenses. You are also welcome to donate via Venmo to Robyn Barker @robynbarker8.
Anyone wishing to make an offline donation can send a check to “Matt Cropper” in c/o Kara Suzuki 10962 S. Coastal Dune Drive, South Jordan Utah, 84009
Lastly, we invite you, in Heather’s loving memory, to move forward with faith, to mourn with those that mourn, to comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to be mindful of those in your orbit. We never know what extreme, private battles even the most capable and beautiful person is fighting.
