Love for Kevin Crandall and his medical needs

Do NOT tell Kevin that there is a GoFundMe for him! Let's surprise him, plus he might get really mad at me..

 

Hi, my name is Michael Mastin and I need your help with this fund raiser for our caring friend Kevin Crandall.  Last August, Kevin suffered two strokes that left him unable to go back to work.  He has been employed with Donatos for almost 30 years where he is a delivery driver and he also works at Hilliard Lawn and Garden as a driver.  

Because of the stroke effects, Kevin can't completely use the left side of his body and the State of Ohio has suspended his driver's license. He is committed to both physical and occupational therapy, but the impact of the strokes has been tremendous not only physically, but also financially.  The GoFundMe monies will provide Kevin with a newer vehicle that can be retro-fitted to allow him to drive.  Kevin also needs to take a special class and an expensive test to get his license reinstated. He also needs blood pressure monitoring equipment to gauge his stress levels. Since this medical emergency has depleted Kevin's savings, he'll need to replenish funds to help pay for his medical bills and any additional therapy that might be required but not covered by insurance, which includes an exercise bike to help with his leg rehabilitation, and any additional incidentals that always come up in these situations.

For as long as I've known Kevin, he has always been there to lend a hand, help others in need, and expect nothing in return. He's a great friend with a huge heart and that's why we've been friends for over 25 years. Kevin is too proud and he might be angry that I've started this GoFundMe for him because there is nothing more important to him than being able to provide for himself and for his family. He's always worked multiple jobs to support his family and my goal- with your support- is to help him recover and enable him to resume working.

Finally, since the stroke happened on Kevin's birthday, he says he never wants to celebrate it again. Anyone who has supported his recovery or contributed to this fund raiser is invited to help celebrate Kevin's half birthday in March and present him with the GoFundMe result.
