Love For Lana - Allana Cervantez

Allana (Lana) Cervantez is on the list for a heart transplant.  She is a spunky 15 year old Thousand Islands student living in the Depauville, NY area..    Allana has been in and out of the Boston hospital due to complications with her heart and recently admitted back into Boston hospital most likely until they find a heart donor.  Lana has idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy.  It is a disease where the left ventricle of the heart enlarges causing the heart to not pump the blood like it should.  The  blood  will  backfill into the lungs making it so she can’t breathe.  This also makes for an irregular heart rates and arrhythmia as the heart worsens.  Lana’s mom, Leah, is living at the hospital with Lana while Lana’s dad is home working during the week and making the trip to Boston on the weekends.  There are a lot of expenses they have faced, are facing now and will be facing in the near future, therefore we have created this page to help our friends out!  Once Lana receives her life saving transplant, she will have to stay close to the Boston hospital for four to six months after so that her doctors can monitor her progress as well as keep a close eye on her recovery.  Our plans are to raise as much money as we can so that this family can concentrate on their daughter and not have these moments clouded with all of the bills  and traveling expenses piling up.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to read this and all donations will go directly to the Cervantez family.
