Love for Lasse

Life has a way of throwing unexpected curveballs, and the diagnosis given to our step father, Lasse Bertelsen, was no exception. Our entire world was turned upside down when Lasse was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in May of 2019. Lasse is a beloved husband of 25 years, as well as a father, brother, son, uncle, and Papa. To know Lasse is to love him, and we’re now wanting to demonstrate our love to him by helping him in any way we can during this challenging time.

What started as prostate cancer has now spread and metastasized throughout his spine. Despite this setback, Lasse is staying very strong and positive, and he’s going to continue to fight this with everything he has.

Up until this point, our family has been battling this disease privately- but a fight like this is extremely daunting. The burden of medical expenses such as medical consultations, treatments, medications, travel expenses, and aftercare is an extremely heavy weight to bear. With the support, prayers and love from our beloved community, we hope to make this journey a little easier on Lasse and his family. We, along with Lasse‘s wife (our mother) Stacey, our little brother Lane, and the rest of our family, just want to see Lasse come through this.

We humbly ask for your support in both prayer and contributions, so that Stacey can remain by his side through every appointment and doctors visit and so that Lasse can return to doing what he loves most: working hard to support and mentor his family, riding horses and drumming with his bands
