Love for Lil

Lil Edge was a typically developing child who was rather precocious until the age of 4. On November 8, 2018 she was diagnosed with ROHHAD (rapid-onset obesity with hypothalamic dysregulation, hypoventilation, and autonomic dysregulation). It's a rare, life-threatening syndrome that affects the autonomic nervous system (which controls involuntary actions like breathing and your heartbeat) and the endocrine system. Some children will also have tumors with this diagnosis. Lil had a tumor removed from behind her left lung at the age of 4. Due to how this syndrome has affected Lil's body and mind, she has spent much of the last three years in and out of hospitals. Lil comes from a family of strong faith, who firmly believes she is healed by the stripes of Jesus. Her healing is not seen fully yet, but her family is thanking God in advance for that complete healing. She has made some significant gains over the last few months while she was hospitalized and was able to be transferred to a special school in New York. Unfortunately, this last week she tested positive for COVID. The cost of her care while in quarantine at her school is $500.00 per day. She will need to be quarantined for at least ten days, costing $5,000.00. Her family has dealt with a number of medical bills over the last three years and this past expense is a lot for them to handle on top of everything else.
