LOVE for Lynette Grant

On December 28, 2019, Lynette fell ill with what the family thought were flu-like symptoms. Over the next few weeks, her symptoms worsened resulting in emergency hospitalization at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, OK on January 8th. The Grant family was faced with a scary and life changing diagnosis as Lynette's team of physicians discovered she was battling a brain bleed as a result of a brain tumor. Surgery was performed, but more challenges were discovered. Lynette's journey initially began when diagnosed in 2006 and again in March 2013 with Melanoma Cancer. At that time, she entered a 2-year research therapy study with 3 years of continuous follow up appointments. She was cancer free at the end of the 2-year program. Today, her cancer has metastasized with additional tumors. After a 2-week hospital stay this past January, she was discharged home and began radiation treatment on February 6th. She has a few more treatments remaining and will then begin immunotherapy on February 19th. Prior to Lynette's illness surfacing, her loving husband Don faced his own health crisis. Don suffered a traumatic leg injury that resulted in an amputation in the Fall of 2019. Don had just returned to work when Lynette's illness surfaced. Lynette, Don and their beautiful daughters, Hannah (a college student) and Hailey (a high school senior) have had more than their fair share of heartache over the past 9 months. They are a loved family in our tight knit community in Claremore, OK and the Claremore Zebras are rallying around them with all of our love and support. We know they have friendships and family spanning across Texas - Oklahoma - Arkansas and those folks have been asking how they can help show their support. We hope this forum will allow all who know this precious family an opportunity to lend a helping hand. They have already incurred numerous hospital expenses and are now being faced with the expense of continued treatments, and transportation to and from appointments (1 hour one-way commute from their home to Tulsa). Your prayers are truly appreciated and please know any amount, big or small, will be substantial to the Grants! Thank you for showing your "LOVE for Lynette"!
