Love for Rixy

My niece, Marixsa Dawn Alvarez, passed away in hospice care after she was unable to recover from a severe respiratory illness. "Rixy" was a beautiful, strong, and at times feisty soul, who broke the barriers of this conforming world. She loved her mama, family, music, and those who cared for her.

"Rixy-Pixy" was spicy and enjoyed the spice of life! She was happiest when cruising on car rides with her mama, whilst cranking up Selena and other Latin music. She had the biggest smiles when she had tamales at her favorite El Salvadorian restaurant and any spicy Mexican food!

Marixsa had been hospitalized for several weeks before her death. Now her mother, Bianca, and our other family members are making arrangements and preparing everything for her celebration of life. These funds will be raised for Bianca to use in "love for Rixy," to honor her life and memory. They will help cover needs related to her end-of-life care and memorial.
