Love for Ollie - Supporting the Walton Family.
Donation protected
After spending a beautiful Christmas day together with family, Amy and Tyler went to wake Ollie just like any other day only to find him extremely sleepy and lethargic. Ollie was floppy and couldn't sit on his own so they called 000 and an ambulance was sent out with MICA and a helicopter on standby.
Ollie had over 10 seizures between waking up and 1:30pm on Boxing Day when he fell into a deep seizure for hours. Ollie stopped responding completely and was put into a coma. His CT scan shows a small cyst on his brain but doctors think this is unrelated at this point. They are continuing to run a series of tests to find out what is happening which so far have found nothing. Ollie is likely to be in an induced coma for a few days and has a long recovery ahead of him. They will need to wait until he wakes up to find out if the seizures have caused any brain damage.
Amy, Tyler and the boys live two hours away from the hospital and will need to find accommodation next to the hospital in case of an emergency and so they can be close to Oliver. They will also need to pay for fuel and meals. They would also like to purchase an Owlet sock for monitoring him when he returns home so they can keep a proper eye on him and have greater peace of mind.
Some of you may know that Amy and Tyler also recently found out that they may have lost their third baby and are still dealing with the grief from the unknown.
Many have asked what they can do to help and offered financial assistance so this page was set up as a way of donating to help the Walton's for those who can.
