Love for The Edlunds

It is with a profoundly heavy heart that I share Crosby took his final breath in his parents’ arms at Boston Children’s Hospital this morning. Crosby’s journey has been filled with lessons for all who interacted with him and his family. They have epitomized strength, perseverance, perspective, and growth through the unthinkable. Michelle and Josiah have expressed their gratitude for your support. May we continue to lift them up through this season of grieving and adjusting to a new normal.

279 days...and counting. That's how long Crosby Edlund has been living at Boston's Children's Hospital. Since his birth in February 2022, he has only been home for a total of 12 days. Crosby required open heart surgery last summer and is currently battling a cruel disease known as Pulmonary Vein Stenosis. This has resulted in a complete and sudden uprooting of the entire family from their home in Vermont to rally behind Crosby's care and soak up each precious milestone with him. Both parents had careers that were not remote which made the transition to Boston even more trying. Nevertheless, they show up every day to advocate for their son. Michelle (Crosby's mom and my "little sister") has a snuggle theory that such love and attention are contributing to his improvement. I couldn't agree more. Please join me in lifting up this family financially so they can focus on all the snuggle therapy possible for sweet Crosby rather than mortgages, phone bills, daily cafeteria food costs, gas, car repairs, and the many other requirements that try and pull their attention from the ultimate fight.
