Love for the Gillig Family

Donation protected
The last 2 years have been the toughest for our dear friends, the Gillig Family. We've known and loved the Gilligs since our boys (Jacob and Jacob) became inseparable at 8 years old (11 years ago). In fact, our boys even look so alike that they have been mistaken (or have tried to fool people into thinking) to be twins at times... both named Jacob lol

2 years ago, Nancy, Brian's wife, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Immediately after, her father, "Grandpa Bill" to our boys, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Both battled hard and won the fight. Nancy, however, has not been able to work since then, as she's had several significant complications from the many surgeries she endured and the chemo combined. Grandpa Bill also resides with Brian, Nancy, Jacob and Drew (their 2 boys).

On December 22, Brian and the family received the devastating news that he was diagnosed with Stage 3 Pancreatic Cancer. Brian will have his port placed on 12/28 and his chemo starts on 12/29 for 3 months. After those treatments, he'll undergo surgery to remove part of his pancreas, the vein the tumor is sitting on, his bile duct, his gall bladder and part of his stomach. It's going to be a rough road ahead but with it being caught early (if you know Brian, this won't surprise you that he jumped on it quickly!) modern medical advances over the years and his doctor's confidence in this type of treatment, coupled with Brian's kick-its-ass attitude, we are so optimistic that he's going to not only beat this, but beat it with his giant Brian-smile on his face.

Brian's employer of 27 years, A-1 Party & Event Rental, is very generously supporting Brian and the family during this turbulent time to try and reduce financial stress. Additionally, because many others outside of work have asked how they can help, we've set up a Go-Fund-Me to help the family with medical and life expenses so that Brian, Nancy, Drew, Jake and Grandpa Bill can concentrate on fighting and healing and not worry about money.

Funds will go directly to the family to help with medical bills (they've maxed out deductibles, co-pays, out of pocket expenses, etc, with Nancy's continuous care, post-cancer), daily/monthly bills, groceries (Brian will likely have a very selective diet during treatments and surgery), 2 college tuitions... etc.

Thank you in advance. Your love and prayers are SO appreciated.
Kick its ass, sea-bass!!!!!!
