Hello Friends,
As many of you know by now, our dear friend, incredible artist, and the best martini mixer the world has ever known, Doug Miller, is currently battling Neuro-Endocrine Cancer that has spread to his liver. He is an amazingly strong man, and the outpouring of love for their family has been fast and overwhelming.
So many people have asked if they could help in any way. So I am starting this campaign. The truth is, that Doug has just lost out on AT LEAST 3 months of employment, and possibly more. And Jessie, who is tirelessly caring for him and her soon-to-be-six year old daughter is unemployed for the moment as well.
All total, Doug’s loss of work alone over the next three months will total about $17,000, not including health insurance weeks. This does not include childcare, food, transportation, and medical costs. We are trying to help in any way we can. Let’s give them one less thing to worry about.
Many of us know what it means to be unemployed. And if you are struggling now, then all I ask is that you share the campaign. Help us get the word out. Delaware, Baldwin Wallace, Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, New York, Chicago, Cleveland are just a FEW of the communities this family has touched. The more we can share this, the more people can step up and help.
We are a family, made up of overlapping communities. And we've got this. So, add up the cost of a dinner, a glass of wine, a cup of coffee, or a kindness someone has done to you in the past year, and pay it forward here. This is a family that has given so much light and joy through their love and integrity to all of us, and the universe has given us an opportunity to return that favor.
