Love for Xavier Run
Donation protected
After a year off due to the pandemic, we are excited to announce that we will be resuming the Love for Xavier run this year to honor our son Xavier's life and to raise money for medically fragile kids and their families.
Donating to this run is a great opportunity to support children who face devastating situations such as being diagnosed with life-limiting illnesses or conditions that require 24/7 nursing or medical equipment. The families of medically fragile children continue to face unique challenges during the pandemic including navigating trips to the hospital, and grocery shopping through the lockdown without added risk to the kids. Through the Love for Xavier run, we hope to help our community support organizations that do good work for these very sick kids. Our run supports Jacob's Heart and The Medically Fragile Children's Foundation of Northern California, two great organizations which change the lives of medically fragile children and their families.
Another way to support the run is to come out and join us! Our run is part of the Zombie costume run and is a fun, family friendly event. The run is Sunday, October 31st. Geoff is going for the 1/2 marathon, and Analisa will be running the 10k. Walkers are welcome and can join Ed and Lucy who will be coming out to walk the course. The run takes place at Kelley Park in San Jose which has a lake with ducks, large grassy areas for picnicking and a great playground for kids! There are kids runs too and costume contests for all.
