Love is Gray for Janna Gray

Each person has a group of friends and family that is often referred to as a close circle. The relationship shared amongst the group differs from person to person. Let me share with you my relationship with one of my most very favorite people.....Janna Gray.

 

Janna Gray is someone I look up to. She may be younger than me, but is wise beyond her years. She is my role model, my happy place. She lifts me up when I am down and I admire her deep faith and how she can help me to reflect on hard times. 

 

I know with certainty that her amazing family and wonderful circle of friends feel the exact same way. I am now turning to you in hopes that we can work together in returning all of the positive prayers, thoughts, and all ways possible to now help lift up Janna.

 

On Wednesday, March 15th, at around 4 p.m., Janna went to lunch and had a seizure. She was found unconscious with a collapsed lung and tachycardia (rapid heartbeat). The restaurant called the EMS and Janna then had a second seizure in the ambulance. Janna was taken to Texas Health Presbyterian Plano and intubated to assist with breathing and life saving measures. 

 

A left frontal craniotomy was performed. The biopsy results confirmed brain cancer (Glioma Grade 3). Glioma is a type of cancerous tumor that occurs in the brain and spinal cord. The risk of having a surgical removal of the mass is that Janna would lose her ability to talk, and we all know how much she loves to talk and socialize!

 

Of the many Hebrew names for God that have been transliterated into the English language and used in Christian worship, El Shaddai is certainly among the best known. Literally, this name means “God Almighty.” And it is amongst the most frequently appearing names for God in the Bible. It is El Shaddai that Janna knows will see her through this.

 

This is a time that we have a calling to all come together and stand beside Janna. She believes in the power of prayer and requests that more anything.
