Love Knows No Bounds: Support Our Adoption

In October of 2023, Every Woman a Theologian (our employer) received an anonymous prayer request at Verity Conference for a small boy who needed an adoptive family—little did we know that a year later, we’d be the ones trying to fund his adoption and bring him home to be the missing child in our family.

When a volunteer brought us the prayer card for this little guy, weren’t sure we would even be able to find who wrote it out of the 500 attendees but God knew otherwise. After we reached out to every single person who attended Verity in 2023, we got in contact with his grandma who rescued him from a horrible situation and began the process helping him to heal. This child has fallen through the cracks in the system, but God placed him on our hearts.

Since we were kids, we have always both known we wanted to adopt someday and when we started dating, we knew from the beginning that adoption has been a way we deeply desire to grow our family. We believe it's an incredibly special, holy picture of the Gospel, as we are all part of the adopted family of God through Christ.

We’ve always dreamed of having a big family and before our third child, Van, we had secondary infertility and many miscarriages. We didn't know if a big family would ever happen for us, but we were abundantly grateful for our three. However, we've both consistently felt like someone has been missing from our family—a missing piece to our puzzle.

Another child can absolutely be provided for financially, emotionally, and physically by our family. However, much like most adoptive families, we don’t have $15,000 sitting around to fund the adoption process.
