Oh Sweet Laila Love, What Happened?!?

On Saturday, February 25th, 11-year-old Laila, her siblings, and her cousins were outside playing a game of night tag. Due to the dark of the night, Laila did not see where the ground abruptly ended and the retaining wall for the driveway began. As she was running, she dropped 10 ft to the concrete driveway.

Laila was taken to the ER where it was determined she had a broken leg, fractured facial bones, a cracked skull, and bruising around the brain. The next day Laila was transferred to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.

Laila is being watched closely as the first few days after a head injury are critical. She is expected to have surgery under a neuro and plastic surgeon team to help repair the extensive damage done by the fall.

At this time, all Angie and Justin can do is focus on Laila and her recovery. We pray for the time when the healing is realized, and they will be able to exhale again. And when that time comes, we desire rest and peace for them.

As many know, healthcare emergencies often bring financial stress. The creation of this gofundme stems from the requests of so many of you asking for ways to help.

It can be a little tricky being on the receiving end of financial generosity. Angie and Justin feel a little awkward...
