Love Lenny
Donation protected
I am writing this on behalf of my friend, Leslie Weisenberg and her son Ross Weisenberg. In December 2016, their whole world was turned upside down when her husband and Ross's dad, my buddy Lenny, was diagnosed with Leukemia. Lenny had chemotherapy and blood transfusions and was in and out of the hospital over the next 9 months. Leslie was faced with balancing her time between the hospital and making things as normal as possible for their son Ross, and also trying to hold down her job. Finally, in September of 2017 Lenny was healthy enough to get a stem cell transplant. The transplant seemed to be a success and for the next few months Lenny thought he was out of the woods and that his health would only improve. Unfortunately, in January 2018, things took a drastic turn for the worse when Lenny's white blood cell count started dropping and he had to be hospitalized because his body was rejecting the stem cell transplant. It turned out to be Leslie and Ross's biggest nightmare. Lenny was getting sicker and sicker as the doctors were running out of options. Sadly, Lenny was never able to leave the hospital again. He passed away on February 17, 2018 and was buried on February 20th, which would have been his 62nd birthday. He leaves behind a wife and son who are lost without him, yet they must go on. Ross is getting ready to go to College in August. Leslie is trying to make ends meet with all of the hospital bills and figure out how to help pay for Ross's education. Making matters even worse, Lenny had no Life Insurance to alleviate any of these financial obligations. I am asking you to please help my friend in dire need. Any donation that you could make would be greatly appreciated and make a world of difference to Leslie and Ross. Thank you so much!
