Love like Chloe: Support places she loved
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Chloe's dad. Enough people have reached out that I feel like it would be a great way to honor Chloe through something like this.
The goal of this GoFundMe isn't for Mandy and I and the boys. Yes there will likely still be some costs coming up in the coming year and in a perfect situation those get covered. Especially as we look to move Chloe closer to home (when Saratoga Springs opens their cemetery), but we were blessed enough to have some small amount of life insurance. And while I don't entirely know yet if it's enough - we are okay.
The goal of this is to allow others to join us in giving back. To allow us to truly Love like Chloe did. We considered a scholarship, or a non-profit, or many of the other ways folks have considered honoring those that have passed, and we aren't in a spot to take on that kind of committment and work at this time.
But we are in a spot where we can give in Chloe's name. Specifically, the goal is to donate to a few different places on behalf of Chloe. Places that meant something to her, or she had an increased sense of concern about or connection to. Those are, in no order:
- Vista Heights Middle School drama / tech crew
- Primary Children's in-patient Behavioral unit
- The boxing gym she was a member of
We understand not everyone is comfortable with a GoFundMe (transparently I still am not entirely either, I had to be convinced). If you are one of those people, please consider donating directly:
Or to a location of your choice. Either way, please go do some good in Chloe's memory. It's who she was. We plan on making donations to these places with or without the success of this GoFundMe, but welcome any donations to help make it that much more meaningful.
